Vous allez rire, mais je fais parti de ces gens qui n’apprécient pas vraiment le chocolat. Seulement en voyage par curiosité et pour ramener de jolis souvenirs à mes amis et ma famille, j’aime flâner dans les boutiques à la recherche de jolis packaging. Et le chocolat en fait parti !
Je ne vous dis pas l’euphorie lorsque je suis tombé sur cette petite perle chez Felix & Foam (un nouveau pop-up culturel dont je ferrai l’objet d’un article prochainement) à Amsterdam. Je fonds littéralement pour les tablettes de chocolat Van Der Burgh (venant de Delft) tant pour leur emballage aux motifs somptueux empaqueté à la main que pour son goût tellement profond. Fondé en 2011 par Joyce Juli & Richard Van Der Burgh, cette petite barre de chocolat vaut mille fois toutes celles que vous pouvez trouver en supermarchés. On lui concède d’être bien ficelé : commerce équitable, fait main coulé en petite quantité et à partir de fèves de cacao (uniquement). Et en rendu, on obtient un chocolat au goût ultime ! De 34% jusqu’à 72% de chocolat noir, ou au lait, amandes et noisettes, il y en a pour tous les goûts ! Tentant, n’est-ce pas ?

You’ll never believe me when I tell you that I’m one of those few persons who aren’t that fond of chocolate. And when I travel, I like to bring back souvenirs for my friends and family. So spending a few hours doing some shopping to find the best presents or lovely packages is something that I’ll never refuse to do. And chocolate is one of the things I like to buy!
I can’t tell you how glad I was when I discovered this little gem at Felix & Foam (a new pop-up cultural place that I’ll talk about later) in Amsterdam. I’m so fond of this Van Der Burgh chocolate bars (from Delft), as much for their lovely patterns as for their wonderful and creamy taste. Founded in 2011 by Joyce Juli & Richard Van Der Burgh, it tastes a thousand times better than any chocolate you can find in a supermarket. It’s handmade with the best fair trade cacao beans you can find, and always in small quantities, in order to keep the chocolate as delicious as possible. From 34% to 72% of dark chocolate, or with milk, almonds and hazelnuts, there’s enough for all tastes! Tasty isn’t it?
